Unfortunately the Tanzania did not live up to the flavor notes listed on the website. I’m a professional barista and my coworkers and I tested this roast at our cafe using Clever dripped, V60, and aeropress. While there was a mild sweetness on the front of the sip, it quickly dissipated into a bland, watery flavor. This coffee, like the Ethiopia natural, mostly just tasted like generic “roast” flavor, which could have been due to using old green coffee or a faulty roasting process. Coffee from Tanzania is less common than many other coffees, so it was disappointing that this product did not live up to its full potential. The brews were dry and papery, with the aroma being purely vegetal and “roasty.”
