Out of the three roasts I ordered from Brass Beans, this one was by far the best. I’m a professional barista and brought the Colombia to my cafe where my coworkers and I brewed it on V60 and Aeropress. Not everyone was impressed by this roast, but the general consensus was that the Colombia was a solid, approachable coffee. V60 and Aeropress methods resulted in balanced brews with pleasant mouthfeel. Flavor notes included peanut, maple syrup, and juicy citrus such as mandarin orange. The industrial taste from the roaster was still apparent but this coffee was easier to troubleshoot and produced satisfactory results.
