Grind your coffee beans: Start by grinding your coffee beans. For cold brew, you'll want to use a coarse grind. Aim for a texture similar to raw sugar or sea salt. You can order many of our roasts with a coarse grind, or purchase our special cold brew blend here: https://brassbeans.store/collections/single-serve-pods
-
Measure your coffee and water: Measure out your coffee and water. A general ratio for cold brew is 1 part coffee to 4 parts water. For example, if you're using 1 cup of coffee, you'll want to use 4 cups of water.
-
Combine coffee and water: Combine your coffee and water in a large jar or pitcher. Stir to make sure all the coffee grounds are fully saturated.
-
Let it steep: Let the coffee steep at room temperature for 12-24 hours. The longer you steep the coffee, the stronger the flavor will be. You can experiment with steeping times to find the perfect flavor for you.
-
Strain the coffee: After steeping, strain the coffee through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the grounds.
-
Dilute (optional): If your cold brew is too strong, you can dilute it with water or milk.
-
Serve and enjoy: Serve your cold brew over ice and enjoy!
Note: Cold brew coffee can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
